Housing the Anaconda

Again, this is a "Giant" snake, and adult require a room size enclosure. Also keep in mind that this is also the heaviest snake in the world so do not use glass when constructing the enclosure. The cage size for a 10 foot Anaconda should be 6 x 4 x 2 feet at least. The are very strong and can lift the tops off of most enclosures, so be sure to secure all doors, lids and vents tightly. The interior of the enclosure should be water resistant as the humidity level is high and the snake will often need a large tub of water in which to submerge itself. This often causes an overflow of water into the cage, so a well sealed cage will save a lot of clean up time.
